Race 4 Aid, in partnership with SHJ Charity, has successfully completed a nationwide disbursement of financial support to orphan beneficiaries under the Orphan Sponsorship Scheme across Ghana.
The month-long exercise began in Accra and continued through the Central, Eastern, and Volta/Oti Regions before reaching the Northern regions, ensuring that assistance reached vulnerable families in communities across the country.
Over 500 to 600 beneficiaries received support from their respective sponsors during the latest disbursement.
The initiative continues to provide much-needed relief to orphaned children and their caregivers, helping families meet essential needs.Since its launch in late 2024, the Orphan Sponsorship Scheme has made a meaningful impact on the lives of many children by supporting access to education, healthcare, and other basic necessities.
The programme has brought renewed hope, stability, and encouragement to numerous households facing hardship.
Speaking during the disbursement exercise, the Executive Director of Race 4 Aid, Sheikh Mohammed Mutawakil Abubakari, urged guardians to ensure that the funds are used responsibly and strictly for the welfare of the children.
He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the children’s education, health, and overall well-being, while calling on parents and guardians to remain committed to providing proper care and guidance.
Race 4 Aid also expressed sincere appreciation to Sharjah Charity International for its continuous partnership and generosity, which has made the programme possible.
The organization prayed for Allah’s mercy and blessings upon all sponsors, partners, caregivers, and beneficiaries, while reaffirming its commitment to expanding the initiative to reach even more children in need across Ghana.
