Race 4 Aid, Sharjah Charity International Disburse Funds to Sponsored Orphans in Northern Region

Several orphans from communities across the Northern Region have received financial support under the Race 4 Aid–Sharjah Charity International Sponsored Orphans Programme in Ghana.

At a brief ceremony held to disburse the funds, the Executive Director of Race 4 Aid, who also serves as the Adenta Municipal Chief Imam, Imam Mohammed Mutawakil Abubakari, urged caregivers to use the money strictly for the welfare of the children.

He emphasized that the funds were donated by sponsors specifically to support the well-being of the orphans, cautioning against misuse.

Imam Mutawakil expressed concern over reports that some caregivers divert such funds into personal ventures at the expense of the children’s needs.

Other invited guests at the event echoed his call, stressing the importance of accountability and proper use of the support provided.

Islamic scholar, Doctorul Osman Gurugudoo, commended Imam Mutawakil Abubakari for spearheading the initiative, describing it as a meaningful intervention in the lives of vulnerable children.

Some caregivers, who spoke to the media, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Imam Mutawakil Abubakari and the donors, Sharjah Charity International, and offered prayers for their continued support and generosity.
